In this FAQ we will go over how to use Commission Structures for your organization.
There are three locations for the Commission Location Structure with different applications.
- Under My Organization the commission breakdown applies to all Reps on every order defining the commission split by location. This means all the commission splits per location will be the same for all Reps.
- Under The Reps Profile that commission breakdown can be used to customize per rep their commission split. This will override the commission structure in My Organization for that Rep.
- In the sales order, on the right-hand side. You are able modify/customize the commission split on a single order. Note* In order to do this the user would need admin access or admin sales access.
My Organization Commission Structure
When setting up the splits for your overall organization keep in mind this is going to apply for all reps for all customers. This is the main structure of the commissions.
To create and adjust your company's default commission structure go to the Commissions/Location tab.

On the left side of the new screen, you’ll see the commission structures and types. To change the commission split on each type, click the blue pencil and you will have the option to split the commission between the rep, the writer (if different from the rep), and the house (the agency). The percentages must all total 100% between the three.
Commission Structure Under Reps Profile
Under The Reps Profile that commission breakdown is very simple to modify. You can customize by location and that new breakdown is applied only to that rep on every order.
*Note once you make this change in the rep profile this will override the main commission structure in My Organization.

Commission Structure in the Sales Order
The third place you’re able to customize the commission split it's in the sales order on the right-hand side. To make this change you need to have admin access or admin sales access. when you change the Commission split within the sales order it will only affect that sale.
All you need to do is click on the pencil and it will bring up a new field to edit the amount. The same rules apply, the percentage must total 100% between the two options.
